New Gallery Representation
Delighted to be represented by Golden Hare Gallery this year.
I met the owner, Laura, at Country Living Magazine Christmas Fair 2018.
I loved the ceramics, prints and other beautiful home treasures she had on her stand.
Luckily enough she liked what I was doing too!
So she now has some of my paintings available through her online store. I will also be one of the artists featured in the up coming Spring exhibition at her lovely barn gallery in Bedford.

What Fun in Wexford!
From the 29th of July to the 6th August I took part in Art in the Open plein air festival in Wexford, Ireland. This festival has been running for 17 years and is the largest plein air event in Europe. Every day up to 200 artist descended on a different location around the Wexford county area. We then spend the day painting and drawing what ever takes our fancy. The local inhabitance must get quite a shock when the Art in the Open bus rocks up. But I found nothing but a warm welcome and interest form the passers by.
The final painting day is held in Wexford town. It’s ‘quick draw’ time. This means finding your spot with in a small area on the shopping streets of the town. When the klaxon goes you have two hours to franticly get your painting down. Its lots of fun but not for the faint hearted!
A two day exhibition in the light and airy Green Acres Gallery space rounds up the event. Each artist may submit two pieces of work to hang for this show. It’s fantastic to see all the plein air paintings together.
I had a ball during my time in Ireland and was happy with the way my painting style loosened up and evolved some during this time spent in plein air utopia. I’m all ready looking forwards to next years festival.
3rd palce at Windsor and eton En plein air 2018
Had a really fun, if incredibly hot day painting in the grounds of windsor castle. Decided to try the opposite view from last year when I won second place. I was on the Guard room roof which gives amazing views across the grounds to the tower. The 2017 event took place in torrential rain storms. This year the intense heat and sun made for just as much as an endurance test as the year before. I had opted for Middle ward as I liked the idea of painting the reverse view of last years piece. This area was full of hussle and bussle which I really enjoyed trying to capture. With many more areas of the castle left to paint I think I may be attending this event a few more times yet. It Always seems to be a fun day where it's nice to meet other artist and interact with the public.
